Crémant de Limoux is an appellation for the modern styled sparkling wines from vineyards around the town of Limoux, in the Pyrenean foothills of southern France. They are made from Mauzac, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. More emphasis is placed on the latter two more fashionable varieties.
The Appearance is pale gold with green nuances enhanced by a silvery shine which announces a nice freshness. The bubbles are fine and rise slowly in the chimney in the middle of the glass.
The palette of aromas, characteristic of the grape variety, is fruity with notes of apple, pear, peach, pomelo but also notes of garrigue and honey flowers such as hawthorn and elderberry.
A delight on the palate thanks to the balance of its freshness and roundness. The bubbles delicately line the palate and bring out the fruity flavors in a sensual way.
