The craft of producing wine is something that the Plozza winery has known well since 1919.
In the beginning, the enterprising Pietro Plozza decided to leave his job as a Rhaetian railway worker to start producing excellent wines. During these 100 years his knowledge has been handed down to the new owner, the Zanolari family.
Winery based in Brusio, in the Canton of Graubünden, but with Rhaetian terraces in Valtellina where it produces precious bunches of Nebbiolo giving life to excellent wines bottled with elegant labels. Suffice it to say that for the centenary wine, the label was designed by Lorenzo Ramaciotti, a designer who put the seal on several Ferraris, Maserati and Alfa Romeos.
Rededition is a heroic wine, whose grapes are grown among the impervious terraces located between Poggiridenti and Tresivio: the grape harvest is manual. This will be followed by a cold maceration for 2 days and 5 on its skins. The Inferno will continue with an aging period of 6 months in used oak barrels French and 30 months in chestnut barrels.
Rededition is, on the nose, an enveloping wine, with a fruity bouquet of undergrowth and hints of chocolate. On the palate the tannins are surprisingly tamed by the long period of evolution and leave room for aromas of ripe blackberries, alpine herbs and licorice.
