Notes from the Winemaker
VINTAGE 2019
A rainy and cold spring with a slow growth of shoots and late flowering preceded a hot and dry June and July. Around mid July northen winds cooled off the temperatures for some days and there was a refreshing rainstorm. August was hot and dry, but also brought new rainshowers at the end of the month, providing ideal ripening conditions in the last days leading up to harvest. Picking started on September 14th.
ORIGIN
The 2019 Brunello was produced exclusively with an accurate selection of Sangiovese from those parcels identified in our proprietary vineyards.
AGEING
The 2019 Brunello was vinified in both oak barrels, concrete, and stainless steel, using only indigenous yeasts from our proprietary vineyards. Successively, it was aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 30 months.
EMOTION
From a terrific vintage with perfect weather condition throughout the year, the wine is smooth and harmonious, it opens up with enticing scents of classic cherry, wild berry, purple flower, dark spice, enticing aromas of chopped bay leaves and juniper. The palate is brimming with class and extreme elegance, with sensation of Morello cherry and orange zest. The bright acidity provides superb balance and intensity, tannins are velvety and enveloping and give an energetic grip to the finish. A fantastic wine that brings a smile to your eyes and will offer years of pleasure.

Title to, and Ownership of Alcoholic Beverages
Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from a Licensee to the purchaser at the licensed retail premises or warehouse and state it is purchased in and the purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping it from the licensed retail premises or warehouse to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the alcoholic beverages, the retailer is providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of alcoholic beverages, and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.

We cannot ship wine/sake to the following states: AL, DE, KS, KY, MI, MS, ND, NH, NJ, NV, PA, SD, TN, UT, VA, VT.
Flat Rate shipping for $35 for all purchases under $500. For any order over $500, we offer free shipping.
International Shipping
Generally, we do not ship internationally, as some countries have restrictions on wine/sake shipping. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com before purchasing. In all cases, local taxes and shipping will be paid by the purchaser.
Signature Policy
For successful delivery of your wine or sake on the initial try, we highly advise selecting an address where an individual aged at least 21 is present to sign for the package. Legally, wine cannot be left without such a signature. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping fees for packages returned due to the absence of an adult for signing. Shipments cannot be sent to APOs, FPOs, or P.O. boxes. Additionally, deliveries will not be made to individuals deemed intoxicated by the driver.
