    Notes from the Winemaker

    The goddess is the epitome of all that is feminine. The meeting with the goddess is the final test of the talent of the hero to win the bon of love. Possessing within its dark, brooding ruby core a mélange of concentrated juicy dark berry and freshly ground Asian spice aromas with subtle earthy undertones. The Goddess is crafted from the Gold Rock Vineyard, situated atop an interior ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This wine is a beautiful blend of clones 777 and 115. The fruit was fermented with 100% indigenous yeast in open top stainless steel tanks. Twice daily punchdowns extracted remarkable color, tannins and flavor as cold-soak through the end of fermentation in tank lasted 22 days. The wine was then transferred to 85% new French oak barrels for 18 months. 

    This is seen as the ultimate adventure and is represented by the marriage of the hero to the goddess. Here we taste femininity and masculinity converge in this singular wine. This Pinot Noir is bottled seduction through slowly unfolding, layered complexity. Black cherry, spiced vanilla bean, su bois, and sandalwood swirl on the palate and into an effortless, supple finish where tart acidity is blanketed in velvety, approachable tannins.

    Title to, and Ownership of Alcoholic Beverages

    Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from a Licensee to the purchaser at the licensed retail premises or warehouse and state it is purchased in and the purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping it from the licensed retail premises or warehouse to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the alcoholic beverages, the retailer is providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of alcoholic beverages, and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.

    We cannot ship wine/sake to the following states: AL, DE, KS, KY, MI, MS, ND, NH, NJ, NV, PA, SD, TN, UT, VA, VT.

    Flat Rate shipping for $35 for all purchases under $500. For any order over $500, we offer free shipping.

    International Shipping

    Generally, we do not ship internationally, as some countries have restrictions on wine/sake shipping. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com before purchasing. In all cases, local taxes and shipping will be paid by the purchaser.

    Signature Policy

    For successful delivery of your wine or sake on the initial try, we highly advise selecting an address where an individual aged at least 21 is present to sign for the package. Legally, wine cannot be left without such a signature. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping fees for packages returned due to the absence of an adult for signing. Shipments cannot be sent to APOs, FPOs, or P.O. boxes. Additionally, deliveries will not be made to individuals deemed intoxicated by the driver.
