Sharp aromas of stewed black plum, cocoa dust, wild mint and baked soil show on the nose of this bottling from a vineyard 2,350 feet above the ocean. The tannins are firm and tight, carrying the black-cherry, earth and mint-chocolate flavors into the finish. Drink 2022–2039.
Notes from the Winemaker
The Sunny Slope vineyard may share the same vine spacing, clones, rootstocks, farming and winemaking techniques as their other properties, but its wines are remarkably different. The hallmark of Sunny Slope is its ethereal, high-toned nose of violets, plums and cedar. This 2014 is dense, structured, tannic, mouth filling and age worthy.

Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from a Licensee to the purchaser at the licensed retail premises or warehouse and state it is purchased in and the purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping it from the licensed retail premises or warehouse to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the alcoholic beverages, the retailer is providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of alcoholic beverages, and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.

We may ship wine or sake, on your behalf, to some States in the Continental US. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com if shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
We cannot ship wine/sake to the following states: AL, DE, KS, KY, MI, MS, ND, NH, NJ, NV, PA, SD, TN, UT, VA, VT.
Flat Rate shipping for $35 for all purchases under $500. For any order over $500, we offer free shipping.
International Shipping
Generally, we do not ship internationally, as some countries have restrictions on wine/sake shipping. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com before purchasing. In all cases, local taxes and shipping will be paid by the purchaser.
Signature Policy
For successful delivery of your wine or sake on the initial try, we highly advise selecting an address where an individual aged at least 21 is present to sign for the package. Legally, wine cannot be left without such a signature. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping fees for packages returned due to the absence of an adult for signing. Shipments cannot be sent to APOs, FPOs, or P.O. boxes. Additionally, deliveries will not be made to individuals deemed intoxicated by the driver.
