Notes from the Winemaker

Good persistence and full flavor delineate its character. Its structure, well suited to medium aging, makes it unique among its peers. 
The grapes come in part from our vineyards of Villa Pattono at Costigliole d’Asti and from other vineyards of the Asti hills.
 Denomination: BARBERA D’ ASTI DOP
 Variety: 100% Barbera
 First Vintage: 2009
 Vinification: Grapes handpicked in the month of September, de-stemmed and pressed. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel containers. Contact with the skins lasts approximately two weeks and the malolactic fermentation takes place in steel containers. Label: The historical “soldier” label was created by Renato Ratti to recall the heroism of the Piedmontese regiments in the XVIII Century.
 Bottle: The Albeisa – from the name of the city of Alba – it is the iconic bottle created by Renato Ratti in 1973, desired as a way of identifying the uniqueness of a territory and its wines.
 Notes and pairing: Intense red color. Fragrance of ripe fruit against a spice background. Full flavored, pleasant and elegant, with good persistence. It's a rich and structured wine, also suited to medium aging. A wine for first courses and red meats

Title to, and Ownership of Alcoholic Beverages

Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from a Licensee to the purchaser at the licensed retail premises or warehouse and state it is purchased in and the purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping it from the licensed retail premises or warehouse to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the alcoholic beverages, the retailer is providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of alcoholic beverages, and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.

Same-day FREE delivery service available for Miami Residents when product is in stock and ordered before 12PM.

Shipping to Other States

We may ship wine or sake, on your behalf, to some States in the Continental US. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com if shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.

We cannot ship wine/sake to the following states: AL, DE, KS, KY, MI, MS, ND, NH, NJ, NV, PA, SD, TN, UT, VA, VT.

Flat Rate shipping for $35 for all purchases under $500. For any order over $500, we offer free shipping.

International Shipping

Generally, we do not ship internationally, as some countries have restrictions on wine/sake shipping. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com before purchasing. In all cases, local taxes and shipping will be paid by the purchaser.

Signature Policy

For successful delivery of your wine or sake on the initial try, we highly advise selecting an address where an individual aged at least 21 is present to sign for the package. Legally, wine cannot be left without such a signature. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping fees for packages returned due to the absence of an adult for signing. Shipments cannot be sent to APOs, FPOs, or P.O. boxes. Additionally, deliveries will not be made to individuals deemed intoxicated by the driver.
