  • Winemaking: Picked by hand and destemmed, then cold-soaked for three days. Fermented in open-top tanks with the skins punched down 2–3 times a day. Aged 10 months in French oak, 20% of it new.
  • Alcohol: 14.5%

Interesting facts

  • Sean and Nicole Minor founded the winery in 2005. It’s family-owned and was first called Four Bears Winery, after their four children.
  • It owns no vineyards. Instead it buys grapes on long-term contracts from sustainable growers in California and Oregon. That’s a big part of how it keeps the quality high and the prices low.
  • Consulting winemaker Will Bucklin has been there from the start. He’s a UC Davis graduate who has worked at Château Lafite Rothschild and King Estate.
  • Their daughter Elle Minor is now Production Manager and Assistant Winemaker.




Shipping Policy

Title to, and Ownership of Alcoholic Beverages

Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from a Licensee to the purchaser at the licensed retail premises or warehouse and state it is purchased in and the purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping it from the licensed retail premises or warehouse to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the alcoholic beverages, the retailer is providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of alcoholic beverages, and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.

We may ship wine or sake, on your behalf, to some States in the Continental US. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com if shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.

We cannot ship wine/sake to the following states: AL, DE, KS, KY, MI, MS, ND, NH, NJ, NV, PA, SD, TN, UT, VA, VT.

Flat Rate shipping for $35 for all purchases under $500. For any order over $500, we offer free shipping.

International Shipping

Generally, we do not ship internationally, as some countries have restrictions on wine/sake shipping. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com before purchasing. In all cases, local taxes and shipping will be paid by the purchaser.

Signature Policy

For successful delivery of your wine or sake on the initial try, we highly advise selecting an address where an individual aged at least 21 is present to sign for the package. Legally, wine cannot be left without such a signature. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping fees for packages returned due to the absence of an adult for signing. Shipments cannot be sent to APOs, FPOs, or P.O. boxes. Additionally, deliveries will not be made to individuals deemed intoxicated by the driver.
